Having finished my studies in medicine I started my clinical education at the Center of Surgery of the University Hospital in Essen, Germany. Having obtained the degree of a General surgeon I set my focus on the surgery of trauma, both in the hospital and in study groups of the German Society of the Surgery in Trauma. Since 2003 I am also Instructor of the Advanced Trauma Life support/ATLS® program. After a short period at the Medical Health Services of the Bavarian Health Fund I became Senior Consultant in the Trauma Department of the University Hospital in Mannheim in 2000. During this time I was educated in orthopedic surgery with focus on joint replacement, spine surgery and shoulder diseases. In 2005 I started work as senior consultant of the orthopedic department of the Municipal Hospital in Landshut with focus of surgery in trauma and spine surgery for 11 years.
In October 2016 I became the second holder of the Outpatient Surgical Institute in Freising.
